Since there are not many reviews out there I have made one, my Ubisurfer broke after 3 hours of use, and there are lots of problems with the software and hardware listed in the video. My advice is to look at something else.

    People expect too …
People expect too much of Datwind devices – look, they cram the entire Internet down the mobile phone network – whaddayawant?! I just leave my main computers (PC and Mac) switched on, then access them remotely from one of these using LogMeIn (which is free). Anyone can do this – you’ve got all the resources of your main computer at your disposal wherever you are via any web browser – why worry about this device’s RAM or storage when you can do this? Joined-up thnking!

Basicly nothing on it works, its not worth even thinking about buying one of these. Get a cheap laptop with 3g.

I bought a UbiSurfer as an upgrade to my Pocket Surfer – it was a mistake. The device is crippled by lack of memory & awful applications & represents a thorough waste of money – trying to find upgrades and patches fopr this terrible machine has proved impossible as Datawind’s website is poor and half the time , it does not work – I am so disappointed, this device looked to be an answer to my prayers, a dream – truly potable Internet! Instead it has been a nightmare AVOID IT AND SAVE YOUR MONEY!

It is for any of there products including the Ubisurfer, you get one year free where you get 30 hours GPRS per month. But if you want this as a primary laptop/netbook I would look at a windows netbook and a 3g adapter as this can only load basic web pages.

The main reason I want one of these is to have unlimited surfing like the pocket surfer 3 which is available for life at £59.99 but I’m unsure if this is definatley available with the ubisurfer even though I emailed datawind and they said it was. Ideal world and datawinds own website doesnt state this but does with the pocket surfer 3.
