2 Asus T91MT Multi Touch Windows 7 Tablet Netbook reviewThe Asus T91MT is probably the first convertable multi touch netbook, with a stylus that actually works well.

I’ve held off the review of this product about a week in anticipation of the Apple iPad, and I can now safely say that this device is superior to it, in almost every aspect.

32gb SSD PCIe card, 1GB ram, touch screen, stylus interaction, SD card slots, usb ports, microphone, and built in web cam all standard. All for just around $550 (now $500).

@al1432 I should probably do a follow up review on this product. Yes, I have found that the virtual keyboard will sometimes disappear when you delete all the text in a field, or use control key combinations. Also oddly enough Google apps works horrid with the virtual keyboard, but all other apps run fine. Chrome just hates the virtual keyboard completely, and Firefox will sometimes not give you the keyboard icon.

I placed the icon in the taskbar to fix these issues.

Great review, probably the best I’ve seen on YouTube so far, thanks! I would have liked to see the tablet virtual keyboard in action a bit more. Does it ever hide the form you are trying to type into? Thanks again.

    It is actually …
It is actually pretty responsive I think.

There is a very small delay between the start of scrolling I’ve noticed, but I don’t think it’s an OS problem as much as the processor.

The pinch, zoom, and scrolling are all built into Win 7 in all flavors (except starter/basic).

A friend has a HP tablet that uses the same tech, but faster processor in his and it does’nt have that small lag.

From your video the screen response looks terrible, when you do the pinch it doesn’t follow your fingers but seems to guess a random amount to zoom after you’ve done the gesture. Is that processing delay? Seems the same when scrolling, really jerky. Really want a tablet, but I don’t think I could put up with that. I wonder if XP would be any better?

    I think the model …
I think the model my friend has is the TM2, we compared them when I got this one, and we agree the Asus is better. The HP has horrid battery life. With the palm detection we found that both worked about the same. The HP did’nt seem to be able to turn off the touch screen when the pen was in use (I did’nt have much time to fool with it to see if it had an option).

I generally have little issue with the pen input, but it might be how I am writting on it.

i havnt used this one, but am somewhat worried about it not having a digitized pen option…so if u write and your palm hits, it will mess everything up. Ive used devices like that before. Heard the palm rejection on this thing is not very good.
I like my wacom graphics tablet, as you can have your palm all over it and it only registeres the pen. Only other option with min money is the tm2 from hp, but ive heard bad things with that thing and heat.

Yes you can use the stylus to write using MS Journal viewer, MS word, or if you just like pen input you can select pen input instead of the onscreen keyboard to input text and data.

This is what the iPad should have been, a full powered desktop OS in a tablet format. However instead they give us just a large iPod. Now don’t get me wrong, they can now make special tablet applications for the iPad only now, and it will have potiential then, but it’s like unneccessarily limiting themselves.
