The burn duration duration affects how long it burns and will also affect the speed and tragectory. You are also given trim thrusters with a limited amount of fuel to help guide your rocket towards the target. My budget is about $250~$300. I need something lightweight, with great battery life and a good design as well. I’ve tried carrying around my regular laptop and it is just not that great.
Speed is an important factor as well. Ideally I’d use it for surfing the web, reviewing and revising papers, and music.
First off, a netbook in your price range (250$-300$) limits it down to only budget netbooks, however, there still are some good netbooks in that category. Just remember you won’t be getting a powerful, feature heavy netbook in that price range. Though doing what you specified should be fine, as long as you don’t mind a 10 inch, non HD screen. In that price range, the Asus Eee PC 1001P is hands down my most recommend netbook.
You can get it brand new for around 300$. And it comes in both white and black, though white seems to be a bit cheaper.

I also highly recommend you buy from Amazon.
It fits what you want very well. It has a good, attractive design, great battery life (around 8 and a half hours), and it’s small and light weight. So it would easily be my #1 recommendation.
The Dell Mini 10 is another option, that’s pretty good, but it’s not nearly as good as the 1001P IMO.
