it stalls, some pages wont load what is going on, its windows xp?

also i went and got some ram 2gb, hoping it would speed it up, and stop the stalls.

but no, it dont seem to be moing any faster to me. yes i installed the ramproperly. but however if i wanted to use the 1gb ram chip, it would still have the same problems. i have norton netbook version of security suite.
all the reviews i read from amazon.com, the customers were very sastified with the netbook.
maybe i got a lemon, right? i didnt even have any applications or anything installed yet.

If you havent got much installed on it yet, i doubt you have clogged up XP with loads of services and start up programs. but still, go to Task Manager (CTRL + ALT + DEL) and see how many processes there are running. around 30 is normal for a newly installed copy of XP. if you have more than 40, try disabling them by going to MSCONFIG (from task manager go to file, new task, and type msconfig), and disabling services and start up processes you wont need. i have around 24 processes on my netbook with XP with lots of programmes installed as well cos i disabled lots of things i dont need- Quicktime, Bonjour [itunes], iTunes help… And it is very quick for a little netbook.
