I have read reviews but I am still not sure which netbook is better…?
I purchased the Gateway LT2104U and compared it to the Asus Eee extensively in store and doing online research. I first had home the HP 210 mini that I had ordered online without actually seeing the product and it’s NOT good. You have to remove the entire bottom to even reach the ram or the Microsoft COA. It’s crazy – cheaply made. Returned that one then started studying and looking for a decent netbook. The reason I settled on the Gateway was the fact the screen tilted way back and for that reason you get a bright and clear screen at many different angles. The Asus tilted back, but not nearly as far, and the fellow from the Geek Squad said he had to keep lifting the bottom of his Asus UP in order for the screen to look bright and clear. I absolutely LOVE the display on this Gateway model. That was another major complaint (aside from being so slow and locking up) on the HP 210. I would definitely stay away from that one. Anyway I also noticed that the screen resolution and lettering was so crystal clear on the Gateway vs. the Asus which seemed sort of washed out and fuzzy. Best Buy had them displayed side by side so it made it easier to see. Just my opinion, but I am an electronics buyer and I do believe you’ll be much happier with the Gateway. I also upgraded my ram to 2gb immediately and it went in flawlessly, even before I even booted the Gateway for the first time. Runs so FAST. One thing missing from the Gateway is that fast, skipping the Windows 7 boot in thingee, but as I use a Sprint Air Card to connect to the internet when I am out and about and not on the home wireless, that was useless to me anyway. I am a VERY VERY fussy buyer and this is my view on the subject. I have a house full of electronics – from computers, big screen Sony TV’s and game consoles! Do a comparison to screen quality when you see them in the store next time. You’ll see what I mean. And the bottom of the Gateway even has a separate area to access the hard drive! With the Asus and all the others you have to literally take the keyboard apart. Go for the Gateway LT2104U – you won’t be sorry!!

Lenovo G550 Value Line Series… A few cool specs are LED screen, ddr3 ram and overall thin design. A few not so cool things are no HDMI, a weak integrated intel 4500m graphics and a not so accurate track pad. But you cant expect alot from Lenovo value line series.
