My laptop doesn’t have the CD drive and please don’t give me stupid answers!
I need to delete EVERYTHING from this laptop.
Gee, I never thought that I would be replying to a question asked by Britney Spears? I hope that is actually your name.
You will have to buy an external CD drive. Once you have that then you can re-install the operating system (Windows XP Home). If you didn’t get a setup/restore disk from HP then best that you have someone who has the Windows XP to do this for you. That said, you will have to have the activation code for Windows or else you are going to have to buy it again — if you can find it.
OK, I want a Netbook to store mostly more stories on there and of course, work.
So does anyone have a Netbook?
If so, which one and is it good?
Here’s one I have my eye on: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Acer-Aspire-One-Netbook-Sapphire/dp/B001BZ9234/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1225313359&sr=8-1
Does anyone have that one? If so, is it good? Lol.
I’ve read the reviews but I don’t know if I should get it.
Thanks alot!
I don’t own it, but my friend does. It has a nice size keyboard, and Acer designed the keys to maximize the small space. The tech is pretty standard, nothing special. It has pretty good expansion, and a decent screen. The only bad thing is that the mouse keys are on the sides of the track pad, not the bottom, so it’s weird to use for the first week.
Hi friends,
I am a phd student and need a laptop. I need it only for academic purpose. So MS office and adobe reader are the requirements. I dont want it for movies or gaming or music download. From which site can I get a good deal? I want something less than 350. I already saw ebay and dealstobuy.com. They all are expensive.
Please help
Thanks
I would seriously recommend you visiting Dell’s OUTLET SITE and patiently shopping for specs you want bec systems are LIKE NEW CONDITION except maybe Scratch & Dent and carry Dell warranty (but note you plus pay sales tax for your state and S&H).
You could also visit your local Craigslist under Computers and find a Notebook PC that meets your price range BUT some words of caution from one who has several Notebook PCs that you are better off staying with DELL Notebooks bec repair, replacement & upgrade parts are plentiful and reasonably priced on EBAY. I know my 1st Notebook PC that I spent $1,000 was a Gateway and finding new compatible memory was difficult, as was replacing the battery.
Since you will be attending classes, you are better off with a medium size Notebook like 15" even 14", but most important since you are only willing to pay like $350 make sure it is at least the Intel Centrino M chip, has at least 512MB or 1GB memory and maybe 60GB or more hard drive. Also Intel 2915AG is a good WiFi bult-in card but I also get good connectivity with Belkin Pre-N Card Adapter or Linksys Wireless G with Speedbooster or Linksys N.
Hope the Above Info Helps!
