I’m looking for a notebook laptop, that includes blue tooth, sd card reader, built in webcam & mic, good performance reviews, between $450 – $700. I would even consider a refurb laptop. If I can get a decent price.

Dell.

Best brand name and well worth it.

Im getting a laptop from dell as they have well built and way good performance.

the last time i put a poem up, all i got was compliments (which was nice, but come on! be mean, say it sucks, i want honesty!)
what is your very first impression?
Who Am I?

Mere words cannot fully describe who I truly am.
My make-up is a jumble of thoughts and memories that I can only begin to explain

In a family of 12, being the 8th born is not an easy feat.
Originality is hard to come by, and mediocrity earns you only a pat on the back,
If that.
As a result, I’m a driven individual; I do everything I can to make a name for myself,
But nobody pays any special attention to a person who trips over her
Own two feet and would rather spend a day with her nose in a book than anything else.

Oftentimes, people use words such as “sweet” and “kind” to describe me,
But I wish they only knew.
It only takes the willpower to look hard enough to see that that is only a façade I play,
Masking who I really am.
I seem to be an outgoing girl, up for anything.
In reality, I’d rather think than speak, and rather be alone than with company.
Only when I let myself, do I reach inside and contemplate who I am and my feelings.
Most of the time, I wish I was that girl people portray me as, without really looking.

However, I’m not one to feel sorry for myself, I know I have it easy.
Whenever I find myself thinking “Life’s tough,” I try thinking about my dad
Who stays up through the night working, getting 3 hours of sleep and how
He still has enough energy the next day to put up with the grief my siblings and I give him.
Or of my best friend, coming straight from Thailand, knowing
Only a few words of English, and yet braving the new country thinking of everyone except herself.

My daydreams are filled with memories, both happy and sad, but both always result in a smile.
Like the “good ole days” when Arianee and I would run through the streets of San
Francisco, spying on Iglook, with our cheap notebooks, broken pencils, and of course, our Pokeballs at the ready.
Or the times when brother number 6 and I would be home alone, with nothing for dinner.
We’d ride on our bikes to Blockbuster and rent the cheesiest 80s movies we could find,
And of course, the night wasn’t complete without a tub of ice cream each.
But then there are those haunting memories that still come back and sting.
Like spending my entire summer waiting in front of a window, barely even eating,
for that one car to come, and crying each night when it didn’t.
Saying goodbye was worse.
But because of these experiences, I am who I am;
A strong person that can handle what the cruel hands of fate deal out.

people are saying that it isn’t really a poem-i agree. how can i fix that?

Not really a poem…more like a short story/expression of ones self.

It’s well written and has a great concept.

Keep writing as for turning this into a poem…it may be difficult and if you can do it please post for myself and others to see!

My girlfriend is traveling to Australia for business trip. Her HP mini laptop comes with ‘North America Nema Grounded 5-15 type power cable’

Would this type work in Australia or do I have to get a specific adapter for it?

http://the-gadgeteer.com/2009/02/09/hp-mini-1000-netbook-review/

You will need an adapter to plug the laptop into the wall. Fry’s Electronics, Radio Shack, Walmart and other stores have International adapter plugs and kits.

Below is a link to a website that has a photo of what the grounded adapter should look like.

Hope this helps!

I want to buy a Digital camera and I want to know where I can get the best deal. I also want a laptop. I want either Linux, any Mac, Or Windows Xp or higher on it.

Digital camera–your best bet is to find a buddy who has just bought a new one and give him $20 for his old one.

Laptop–I have bought five or six from these guys–http://www.computer-show.com
